Product Manager - Dublin

Product Manager

This is a new role which will report to our Digital Services & Change Director. To thrive as a Product Manager with Neilson Financial Services, the role holder will need be ultimately responsible for the success and compliance of our websites. In their aim to improve each site, the Product Manager will define why, how and when our websites will be updated and will ensure that all changes are properly scoped, tested and ultimately delivered in accordance with our priorities, supported by a robust release management methodology and predefined schedule.

A successful Product Manager will need to flex their focus and move seamlessly across our brands, sites and models to ensure the websites are maintained correctly and performing to optimum standards. They also will need to have the necessary communication skills to work with teams located in the UK and USA on a day to day basis.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the release roadmap of each website
  • Plan all release deliverables and the timeline for implementation
  • Define the testing and release process and coordinate all activities required to complete each release
  • Manage dependencies in and across releases to complete release phases and project milestones
  • Define the requirements for each new feature and clearly articulate the value proposition of a change to the digital team and wider business
  • Work closely with engineering on technical specifications for each new feature to form briefings for other stakeholders and test plans
  • Ensure feedback and requests from the business, testing and/or releases are seamlessly integrated into new feature planning and development processes
  • Prioritise new features by ranking them against the business goals and regulatory framework
  • Regularly communicate the status of new feature requests and releases to a core group of stakeholders
  • Generate and develop new functionality ideas to improve each website
  • Closely manage key site quality metrics including uptime and page speed
  • Manage third party dependencies on the site e.g. tags, SSL certificates etc.

Knowledge & Skills required:

  • 3+ years’ experience trading consumer ECOM websites with responsibility for the success of the product
  • 3+ years’ experience working with multiple third-party vendors and suppliers
  • Ability to set and track specific goals through to completion
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Can identify opportunities and communicate a vision for a product
  • Can manage a set of performance dashboards for key metrics
  • Ability to drive a team to deliver to a deadline
  • Proficient JIRA, Google Analytics, MS Project and MS Excel user
  • Demonstrable experience leading a team and communicating with and managing senior stakeholder expectations
