UX/UI Designer - Dublin

UX/UI Designer

To thrive as an UX/UI Designer with Neilson Financial Services, you will need to exhibit best practice in your performance of a variety of wireframing, design and testing processes. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and current design, possess superior UI skills and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces and components.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with product, brand and UX manager to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
  • Executing all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to development with direction from the UX manager
  • Conceptualising original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
  • Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards

Skills / Knowledge – Essential

  • 2+ years commercial design experience
  • Proven UI experience and demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio
  • Experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps and implement into final designs
  • Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders
  • Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, or other visual design and wire-framing tools


  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS & Javascript for rapid prototyping
  • Degree of similar in a digital design related qualification
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum development process
